Joe Vinachi and John Groholski founded Midwest Industrial Sales in the winter of 1984. After working together for years with a Chicago Terex dealer, they saw a need for quality remanufacturers. Joe and John knew they could provide that to the construction and mining industries, and with $500 each, a single wide trailer, and a 300 square foot hanger in Joliet, Illinois, Midwest Industrial Sales began with just 4 employees. Our Vision
Joe’s vision has grown into the massive international company it is today. Currently located in Gardner, Illinois, his company operates out of a 100,000 square-foot facility with over 50 technicians, specialists, and salesmen, providing parts to over 50 countries every year.
Because of this exponential growth and international popularity, U.S Commerce Secretary John Bryson presented the “E” Award to Midwest Industrial Sales in 2012. President Kennedy established this award in 1961 to recognize America’s growing exporters. Subsequently, over $2.5 million in parts have shipped overseas in the last three years.

James Brandon
Sales Representative
James had over 20 years of experience in management dealing with customers in the on highway world, and has been helping customers out for over 3 years at Midwest Industrial Sales.
In his free time, James spends loves spending time with his kids and watching his daughter play college sports.
Joe (JR) Vinachi
Vice President
JR Vinachi has been with Midwest for over 30 years. When not helping customers with heavy equipment parts needs, JR enjoys time racing street stock and spending time with his family.
Tyson Ely
General Manager / Sales Rep
Tyson has over 20 years clocked in at Midwest Industrial Sales, and when not on the job, he enjoys spending time with his family, shooting pool, and picking at his guitar.
Mary Gerber
Purchasing
Outside of working at Midwest, Mary loves to spend time with her two daughters, boating, and working out.
Jill Spainhour
Purchasing
Jill loves watching her son play sports - football being her favorite. On top of being a heavy equipment parts expert, Jill also went to culinary school - and loves cooking and baking, especially around the holidays. Her Family and 2 dogs are the most important things to her.
Matt Wilson
Sales Manager
When Matt is not using his 17+ years of customer service experience to help out his clients, he spends most of his time with his family. Any leftover time is typically spent hunting, fishing, or playing poker.
Robert Buis
Sales Representative
Robert Buis has been with Midwest for 10+ Years bringing an abundance of knowledge and professionalism to his customers. When not at work, Robert enjoys watching his kids play sports and riding side-by-sides with his friends.
